OC and requirements: I'd like to say something about both sentiments together, while adressing neither of them. Err. No, I haven't met Sheogorath, but ... well, please bear with me. Working on quests is very time consuming, with little rewards (as written in the old thread, playing your own quests isn't that great. Especially when they're not about fighting, but about stuff to think - you know all solutions). My time is limited. Since I've got a working GPU again I probably have already spend more than thrice the time modding than playing. Unfortunately I'm working on Integration pretty much alone. I'm not really in doubt when deciding if I use my time to finish up a few new quests, or to create a second version that I would never use myself - and which additionally would need to be supported then, too.

Integration draws very heavily from it's requirements. It's not that they're only there because I'm too lazy to offer alternatives, but because their resources are deeply integrated into Integration. If you try to separate them, this would be very time consuming and problematic. I know it's very likely going to limit Integration's number of players, but there's only so much I can do. And it does have it's advantages, too. I can do stuff that wouldn't be feasible possible without Integration's requirements.
Additionally Integration itself is very clean. I had some problems with a good share of quest mods in the past for being not clean, mods that used similar resources that are to be found in RBP and / or LAME directly included, therefore creating some bad conflicts and problems. By keeping the quest mod itself clean of this, I prevent a lot of potential problem. Did I merely "outsourced" them? Well, atleast with RBP and LAME you know what to expect, so Integration is free of "hidden" changes which could cause some nasty surprises ;).

Another aspect is that I simply do not have the time and motivation to make compatibility patches for mods I'm not using (OC), or create versions I'm never going to use (stripped down version without requirements). If someone else would do them, I'm not going to say no - but there's only so much I can do, and only so much I find the will to do.

Arthmoos has made an Open City patch, available at the OC download location.

Cobl Races can not substitute the RBP requirement. If you want to play Integrations, you need to have RBP running. And this also means (... bald Golden Saint ...) that it's installed correctly, and not "oh, let's only put the .esp file into the data folder and be done with it". No, RBP's resources are used, therefore RBP need to be installed, and installed correctly.

I hope this helps to explain the situation at least a little bit :).

    2. How can I know if Integration is active?
    2. Why doesn't it start?

Integration does not use quest popups like the DLCs to start. The quests are seamlessly integrated into Cyrodiil. Unfortunately not as much as I hoped to be, because placing NPCs out in the wilderness is a good recipe for dead NPCs. If you don't like to read the spoiler text, which wouldn't be a good idea, then I just suggest to look at the bridge leading the Imperial City Market District. There's someone standing, if Integration is working that is. And also the guild quests begin there.

    3. I don't want to do Kvatch!

There's an alternative route to start the guild quests. Be aware though that in dialog the NPCs will sometimes refer to you as "Hero of Kvatch", because this secret route is only build in for those absolutely despising Kvatch. Here's a hint: There's a small Ayleid ruin near the Imperial City. Clear it out, and you can start the guild quest without rescuing Martin.

    4. Help! I messed a quest up! NPC XYZ won't talk with me anymore!

Choices and consequences. If you tell someone to **** off, don't be surprise if he or she does. Same is true if you lie and betray them. They will not be happy.

    5. Merendin is a joke, it's barely furnished!

    Keep playing.

    6. Is Merendin safe for storage?

The Relinquary coming at a certain point is safe. Although be aware that you can, if you do absolutely hideous acts, be kicked out of the guild. The relinquary will not be reachable anymore then. If you walk on a path which may be problematic you will be warned, do not take the warnings lightly.

    7. A Vanilla NPC important for Integration died! What now?

While I couldn't foresee all instances in which an unexpected death can mess something up, if the NPC in question was essential for Integration you may want to go into the Tiber Septim Hotel. There's a very good chance that a workaround is available there. If not, post in Integration's release thread and I will see what I can do.

    8. What's the appropiate age rating of Integration: The Stranded Light?
    8. Does Integration: The Stranded Light contains nudity?

Let me first explain the "bandit problem", because this is essential to answer this question. All NPCs, regardless where they come from, share the same bodies. So if you're running a body replacer with nudity, meet a hostile NPC, kill the NPC and take the armor off, then you will encounter nudity. Therefore any mod adding NPCs with lootable equipment includes therefore "mod setting depending nudity". The other side of this is that in a mod setting without a nude body replacer the same NPC won't be naked when looted. Integration: The Stranded Light adds NPCs with lootable equipment, so the "bandit problem" exists. However the mod itself does not come with nudity. The bandit problem aside the naughty bits are always hidden (e.g. on paintings, book arts, etc). This is also true for the Unique Clothes AddOn.

This however does not mean that there aren't any arts more suggestive than vanilla's default (which mostly consisted of lanscape paintings anyway, so that doesn't mean much). Ever looked through the character screenshot thread in the official forum's mod section? While of course most arts don't even come close (landscape paintings are landscape paintings), some of them though are of similar quality (if fitting the context).

The appropiate age rating depends on many factors - e.g. the culture you're living in. Example given what's okay in North America isn't necessarily okay in Central Europe, and vice versa. I think if it's okay to play the default Oblivion, Morrowind and Baldur's Gate 2, it's also okay to play Integration: The Stranded Light. It's less heavy on the violence part, but there are some other themes more present than in Oblivion - in this it is similar to Morrowind, and even more so to Baldur's Gate 2.

    9. I've read there's a romance hidden somewhere in Integration: The Stranded Light. Uh, where?
    9. Can I mess the romance up?

    Note: This answer contains spoiler!
The potential candidate is Teshekru, who appears in Merendin after the "Damsel in Distress" quest. However with her it's no usual romance - even getting her to the point where she considers naming you "friend" will take a lot of time and patience. She has a habit of dragging you into short discussions when certains events have happened, also from time to time new topics appear for her. You need to show the right reactions then - e.g. in general be friendly, show interest in her opinion or herself. And then wait and see how it develops ;).

However there are a lot of ways to mess it up. They are obvious, though. Just use your common sense :).
